Important Information on the TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL

The information provided herein is meant to highlight our general terms and related conditions. Please take a moment to read them along with all of the terms and conditions of travel carefully. Once you decided to book Century Cruises and places your deposit, whether through Century Cruises directly or through a travel or booking agent, you agree to abide by, and consent to, all of the terms and conditions mentioned in this website are available in the ¡°Terms and Conditions¡± section. You¡¯re booking of the Century Cruises cruise and boarding of the vessels verifies your acceptance, and the acceptance of those traveling with you, to be bound by all of the said terms and conditions of travel. These terms and conditions apply to individual bookings made directly with Century Cruises as well as those booked through travel agents or tour operators. Tour operators may have additional contracted terms and conditions.

1.Cruise Fare:

Fares include accommodations in category confirmed and services from point of embarkation to point of disembarkation. (Please refer to the ¡°TRAVEL INFORMATION¡± section of this website for a listing of what is included and what is not included in your cruise fare.) Cruise fares are based on tariffs and exchange rates.

2.Reservations:

Century Cruises recommends booking through a professional travel agent. Travel and booking agents and tour operators are independent companies, selected by, and act on behalf of passengers. Century Cruises is not responsible for any representation, act, omission or event arising between passengers and their respective agents. The ¡°Terms and Conditions¡± for passengers booking through third parties, such as travel agents, booking agents, tour operators, as regards the Century Cruises portion of their travels, do not differ from those of individuals or groups that book directly with Century Cruises. Third-party agents may have additional requirements and passengers should consult their travel agent or tour operator for all deposit, payment, and cancellation policies as well as any other information concerning their Century Cruises cruise. Century Cruises is not responsible for any misrepresentations made by third parties on its behalf. Century Cruises is not responsible for omissions or presentation errors in printed materials, internet sites or other media, and Century Cruises reserves the right to make changes and/or corrections as required.

3.Shore Excursions:

Once purchased, shore excursions are non-refundable, either in whole or in part. Shore excursions are handled by local ground operators in China, and Century Cruises only acts as their sales agent. Century Cruises has no control over those shore excursions and may not be held liable or responsible for any changes, omissions or accidents that may occur, or for any unforeseen circumstances that arise. Century Cruises is not responsible for any injuries or losses sustained while guests are ashore. Portions of the areas operation for Yangtze cruises are undeveloped and isolated. Docking facilities often are floating barges with gangplanks. Climbing steps and walking is sometimes required on shore. Tipping of river guides, local guides, drivers and boatmen (who are not Century Cruises employees) is not included, and while recommended, is only at your discretion.

4. Deposit and Final payment:

A deposit of $150 per person is required within 7 days of reservation. Upon receipt of the deposit, a written confirmation will be sent to the agent, operator or passenger who requested the reservation. The final balance is due 45 days prior to departure. For individual bookings, wire transfer is acceptable. Reservations are subject to cancellation if payment is not received in the time specified.

5. Cancellation by Passenger:


Passengers who cancel for any reason will be subject to the following cancellation fees:

Days before sailing Fee
Up to 60 days: $100
From 60 through 45 days (inclusive) $150
From 44 days through departure day: 100% of cruise fare
No-show: 100% of cruise fare


There is no refund for voluntary of involuntary termination by the passenger of a cruise in progress. Name changes and departure date changes are considered reservation cancellations and are subject to the above cancellation fees. A doctor¡¯s certificate to verify illness does not waive any of the above cancellation penalties or conditions.
